City of Glendale Selects IMCD™ for
Disaster Planning and Validation
ContingenZ’s IMCD™ Automates the Process
for Glendale, CA
Los Angeles, November 20 – The City of Glendale,
California, has selected ContingenZ Corporation’s IMCD™ software
product to automate their planning and validation of Incident
Management and Disaster Recovery Plans for the city’s IT systems.
Imelda Bickham, Glendale’s Director of Information
Services, says, “IMCD gives us a way to build and validate our
disaster recovery and business contingency plans for IT systems and,
potentially, across all city units. The automation and consistency
of the plans it generates make the process painless and easy,
thereby reducing our costs.” Led by the Information Systems
department, the city will now test IMCD to assess the feasibility of
its deployment across all city business units including the city’s
main Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
Scott Harmon, Glendale’s Assistant Director of
Information Services adds, “As a city, we of course have emergency
response and disaster recovery well in hand. So, at first we thought
IMCD would be a good method for validation. The product has,
however, proven useful beyond validation and we are now looking at
the potential for wider use of the program across the city.”
“ContingenZ is pleased that IMCD will help today’s
heavily burdened municipalities by reducing costs while increasing
reliability and quality of contingency plans,” says Michael Miora,
president of ContingenZ Corporation. The IMCD software also provides
a quick way to validate existing plans.
