US Company Joins Forces with UK Industry
US ContingenZ Corporation is working with UK
Oxford Continuity as they help Oxfordshire with anti-terrorist planning
Los Angeles, CA, September 16, 2003 – ContingenZ
Corporation is pleased to announce an alliance with Oxford Continuity,
an incident management company working with the Oxfordshire County
Council in case the area is targeted by a terrorist attack. Emergency
Planners from the County Council have joined forces with IT security
firm Oxford Continuity who in turn are working with ContingenZ
Corporation, the makers of IMCD™, the software that automates the
recovery planning process.
The initiative is in response to the requirements of the Civil
Contingencies Bill under which local authorities are required to work
with the private sector in promoting business resilience for a major
disaster. Paul Humphreys, Director of Oxford Continuity and an Affiliate
Member of the British Continuity Institute, said: "As part of our
business plan for our clients' business survival we have been working
with the emergency planners. Their bunker with all its protection and
standby power is an ideal location for one of our continuity servers,
which now become part of an international system which will be
replicated in other countries to improve the survivability of our
clients' businesses."
Michael Miora, ContingenZ Corporation CEO, added,
“We are pleased to be working together with Oxford Continuity to help
meet the new and evolving threats that face UK and US public and private
sector organizations. We are confident our IMCD™ will enable these
organizations to validate existing plans and build new plans.” Miora
was the closing speaker the Critical Infrastructure Recovery conference
just completed in London.
